RON WATFORD
Executive Director, Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC)
I am blessed and grateful to be the first executive director of Love In the Name of Christ of South Lee and North Collier Communities. Along with a Master’s degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and a BA in Sociology from Coker College, I have over fifteen years of experience in full-time Christian ministry.
As a teen, I had first-hand experience on what it means to be a member of a family in need. I remember going down to the welfare office with my mother, a single parent, to pick up our powdered eggs, powdered milk, chopped meat (Spam) and block of cheese. This experience has afforded me tremendous empathy for individuals and families who have “hit life’s speed bumps” and require a loving helping hand and not just a hand-out.
My wife, Patty, and I live in Naples. Patty is an Occupational Therapist, MS, OTR/L and works for a rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility. We have four children: Joshua, an assistant manager for a restaurant in Springfield, MO; Jeremy, a skilled salesman in Joplin, MO; Sarah, a sophomore in high school; and Mitchell, a seventh grader. We attend Center Point Community Church in Naples and facilitate a Connection Group with the church.
In closing, as you continue to learn more about Love INC, I invite you to prayerfully consider how and where the Lord desires for you to serve Him through this dynamic Church ministry partner. We are seeking churches, volunteers, business sponsors, and donors who desire to be faithful to our Lord in His admonition, “When you have done it onto the least of these, you have done it unto Me.” (Matthew 25)
